The ultimate goal of the project is to use Community Radio for Rural Development (CRRD) FM 94.7MHz to broadcast wide range of interactive radio programs to raise public awareness on peace building initiatives to help eliminate violent extremism and the risk of radicalisation of youths within the Eastern Corridor of Ghana (with Gushegu Municipality as main target project areas). The project will use modern digital FM 94.7MHz radio communication, community out-reach mobile radio programs in villages hubs and phone-in-calls (Telephones), etc, to break the culture of silence and get women, girls and single mothers who are victims of domestic violence, rape and sexual harassment to stand up and speak out their ordeal thus, claim their rights, emancipation and empowerment to make inform decisions concerning the protection of their bodies from sexual exploitation which most often occur without their due consent. PAORP-VWC of Ghana and ANESVAD FOUNDATION of Spain are implementing a 2-year project called ‘Mobilising Community Efforts to Contribute to the Achievement of the Ghana NTD Master Plan 2021- 2025 in Controlling, Eliminating and Eradicating Skin-NTDs in Three Districts Across Ghana’’ (February 2023 to February 2025) aimed at contributing to the reduction and eradication of Skin-Neglected Topical Diseases (Skin-NTDs) and increase access to clean and safe drinking water. The project will also train persons infected with Skin-NTDs in vocational skills and other livelihood empowerment activities. The project is being implemented in three selected districts from three regions of Ghana, East Mamprusi, Kintampo South and KEEA (Komenda Edina, Eguafo, Abirem). Find out more here
